Required Documents for Permits

Section 105.1 of the Florida Building Code requires a permit as follows: "Any owner or owner's authorized agent who intends to construct, enlarge, alter, repair, move, demolish, or change the occupancy of a building or structure, or to erect, install, enlarge, alter, repair, remove, convert or replace any impact resistant coverings, electrical, gas, mechanical or plumbing system, the installation of which is regulated by this code, or to cause any such work to be performed, shall first make application to the Building Official and obtain the required permit." View the required documents, forms, review stops, inspections and fees. "Over-the-Counter" type permits are residential Electrical, Mechanical and Plumbing only which require minimal or no plans review.

In order to expedite processing, please ensure that you have all of the required documentation completed and any applicable State of Florida Product Approval numbers (FL#) or Miami-Dade County Product Approval numbers (NOA#) available at the time of application.
